Report

Otford 0 – 6 Hildenborough (Kent Air Ambulance I C Shield)

Being a cup game Boro decided to change the way they had been playing  and went to an attacking formation with the message from the Boro management team very clear from the start, attack.

With the quality of players Boro had, the new formation worked well. With the defence made up of Fountain, Stratford and Hollands they started well, with great communication and organisation.

5 minutes gone lisney in the Boro goal drop kicked the ball out, Otford defenders were unable to deal with it, Karl Smith lobed the oncoming keeper from 18 yards.

The second of the game come 5 minutes later, Shade put in an early cross that found Alfie Hall on the left, he skipped past the defender chipped the ball past the Otford goalie and Dean Spenceley took no chances and put the ball over the line.

With the centre of the park being dominated by Sincs, Ashmore and Lock, Boro were producing some excellent passing football.

with the ball played into the box on the right hand side Smith made no mistake with a low hard drive into the bottom corner.

Then came smiths 3rd. Lisney with another fine strike picked smith out, who produced a great fist touch to turn the defender, with the keeper rushing out Smith kept his calm with a delicate chip over the goalie into the back of the net.

Adam Lisney whos distribution throughout the whole game was perfect again played the ball long, with two bounces it found Spenceley at the right hand side of the box about 20 yards out and with a first time volley finished into the top left hand corner.

Then the 6th goal of the game was another fine bit of football. Down the left flank with passes from Hall and Spenceley who found Smith who produced a neat pass into the box to Ashmore, with great foot work went past two tackles and fired the ball home.

Just before half time Scott was taken out by Luke Stratford and was taken to hospital but after checks he was cleared after having a bang on the head and hopefully will be ok for next Saturday and everyone wishes Scott a quick recovery.

Second half was quite both ends with some good football being produced by both teams.

On a very hot day this was a great result.
