Hildenborough 3 -1 Sheppey United After the win on Friday Borough had to make sure they were focused for this tough game against Sheppey who have been challenging in the league all season.
On a day where the wind and rain were going to play a big part Borough played some great stuff at times showing there ability to get the ball down and play. Sheppey almost took the lead after 10 minutes from a free kick that was bound for the top corner until Sean Ingleson in the Borough goal made a fantastic save to his top left pushing the ball over.
With a great free Kick swung in by Ashmore, captain Adam Davies out jumped his marker to but Borough 1 up. Sheppey started to get into the game a bit more and Borough defended well at times.
It was made 2 - 0 with 5 minutes left of the first half. A corner was put into the box and fell to Smith who fired in through a crowded penalty box.
Borough come out in the second half expecting some pressure and after 10 minutes Sheppey got on back from a corner that wasn't cleared and somehow the ball found itself over the line. However Borough didn't panic and continued playing some good stuff and sealed the win with 5 minutes to go. Smith played a ball down the line to Jason Carver making his first appearance for the first team, made a great run down the left and fired in a low drive across the goal to find Darren Yeung back post to put the ball in.
